PFOA Exposure
Over the last few years there has been much talk about PFOA, i.e. exposure to Perfluorooctanoate or perfluorooctanoic acid or perfluorooctane sulfonate. These PFOA chemicals are now being found in our blood.
PFOA exposure(perflurooctanoate acid) can possibly give rise to some of the problems shown in the links below.
PFOA Exposure
Non-Stick Cookware Continues to Prove Its Toxicity Evidence once again has emerged regarding the dangers of PFOA (Perflurooctanoic Acid). This is used in the production of non-stick cookware and stain-resistant snack food packaging. They are finding PFOA in the bloodstream of 95% of American men, women, and children. PFOA Continues to Prove its Toxicity
DuPont Teflon uses PFOA and PFOS in the manufacture of non-stick coating cookware and also in wrappers used in foods. It has been reported that food packaging and food containers contain PFOA. Fluoretelomers can break down into PFOA both when you ingest them and in our environment. It can migrate into the oil in microwaved popcorn. Click on the link below for more information.
Teflon (non-stick coating) is in your food packaging and you don't even know it!
A former DuPont Company Engineer, Glen Evers, has said that the company has deliberately ignored increasing evidence that its grease-resistant coating on products made of paper could have been getting into consumer’s blood at high levels. Click on the link below for more information
Isn't that teflon in your microwave popcorn?
The Environmental Protection Agency has been given the ability to either accept or reject the decision of the Scientific Advisors to the EPA. The Scientific Advisors have voted in favour of a recommendation that perfluorooctanoic acid, PFOA, should be considered a carcinogen. Click the link below for more information.
Finally US Government Acknowledges How Dangerous Teflon is
Companies are being asked to ban the use of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). This is a chemical used in making Teflon. It is being recommended that future risk assessments should be conducted in relation to liver, pancreatic, testicular and breast cancer. Click on the link below and learn that it is now official that Teflon is a “likely” carcinogen.
It's Official Teflon is a likely Carcinogen
People involved in manufacturing PFOA have the possibility of a three times higher likelihood of dying of prostate cancer than people not involved in its manufacture. Read the article below for further information. Read about the deception in the link below.
Beware? The Teflon Deception Continues
Eight manufacturers have been asked by the Environmental Protection Agency to stop production of perfluorooctanoic acid, PFOA, when making Teflon. It is a suspected carcinogen. The manufacturers have been requested to reduce PFOA production to 95% by 2010 and completely by2015. However, we must understand that the EPA are only able to request voluntary compliance. EPA Calls for Teflon Chemical Ban
Experiments conducted on mice when given PFOA showed that the mice produced more allergen-specific antibodies and as a result more constriction of airways when exposed to an egg allergen. Read more in the link below.
Teflon Chemical May Cause Allergies
We are now seeing a group of 73 people, being represented by 20 attorneys, are looking to discuss what they should do to start a 5 billion federal lawsuit against Teflon maker, DuPont. Click on the link below to read about A Class-Action Teflon Lawsuit in the Works.

READ HOW THIS CAN AFFECT OUR BABIES AND CHILDREN Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) and can also be known as C8, is one of the main chemicals in the manufacturing of Teflon. Also used in the protective coating that stops grease staining boxes and wrappers. A John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health study has looked at fluorinated chemicals in baby’s blood. More Ways Teflon Can Harm Your Baby
Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoate acids (PFOA) are often used in the manufacture of non-stick cookware, carpets, food wrappers, clothing and electrical equipment. Read the link below how is affecting our children. Read more in the article in the next link
Beware: Teflon Products Can Harm Your Baby
PFOA chemical exposure could well be at levels well above what is considered to be a safe level. Children are being found with high enough levels of PFOA to bring about serious toxicity in lab studies. Read the link below for further details.
